Terms of Purchase

The crew of Schooner Huron Jewel strives to make your trip as comfortable, as enjoyable, and as memorable as possible. And sometimes Mother Nature has other plans.

All daysail and B 'n B tickets are sold on a non-refundable basis. Once tickets are purchased they cannot be refunded. You may reschedule your sailing trip (subject to availability) only if you do so seven days in advance.

A minimum of 4 passengers is needed to go sailing, with a maximum of 6. You may buy extra tickets to go sailing or we will do our best to fill the boat.
If you would like to "buy the boat" you are buying 6 tickets; doing so you control who goes with you.

Even if you buy a minimum of 4 tickets we reserve the right to book additional passengers for the same trip.

We watch the weather forecast and radar very closely to insure your safety and enjoyment. If a sail is cancelled due to inclement weather the sail will either be rescheduled or the cost of the ticket will be refunded at the discretion of Drummond Island Tall Ship Company LLC.

For one day sails and shorter: Full payment is required at the time of reservation.

For charters of more than one day:  A minimum deposit of 50% of the ticket price is due at time of reservation. The balance is due 45 days before the date of the sail.

Scheduling sails and charters: Upon receipt of your payment you will be contacted to schedule your trip and provided with information about what to wear and bring to make your trip enjoyable.

Cancellations for all tickets: Reservations cancelled more than 45 days prior to sailing will be refunded, less a $50 per person processing fee. If cancellation occurs within 45 days of sailing Drummond Island Tall Ship Company, LLC reserves the right to keep any funds collected.

Prices do not include gratuity for the crew. If you are happy with your trip and the performance of captain and crew a 15% gratuity is appropriate.

All alcoholic beverages are BYOB.

Passengers are welcome to bring their own simple meal. However due to space limitations no coolers are allowed onboard. Please inquire in advance if refrigeration is needed.

Drummond Island Tall Ship Co LLC is at Queens Bath Eleuthera.

Queens Bath Eleuthera
Day #161 Friday, January 27, 2023 Part 2
Eddy, Julie and Torie went ashore to walk to the Glass Window bridge (see previous post) and to see the Queen’s Baths (also knows as the Hot Tubs).

We were mesmerized watching the waves roll in and crash ashore, slowly wearing away the limestone and creating intriguing holes and tide pools.
While we’re in The Bahamas we’re happy to give at anchor tours, so if you see us – come say “Ahoy!”

Follow our progress at ditallship.com/wherehuronjewel

It’s Bahamas time – want to join the fun as a trainee or passenger? Contact Julie!

Want us to bring Schooner Huron Jewel to your home port as part of our Dream Inspiration Tour? Drop us a line or give Julie a call!

We’re sailing to encourage you to follow your dream; we did what it took to make our dream come true by building Schooner Huron Jewel – may you be inspired to make your dreams happen!

Quote of the Month

“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

~ Mark Twain
