Rudder Building

This month’s work was delayed a little by the Rebelle Rally Jeep project, but a new volunteer, Tom, did a fine job putting the core and outer skins on the rudder. Fiberglass should be going on that in a few days. I fabricated a quadrant arm to hook the hydraulic cylinder to the 3 inch rudder shaft. We got the steel ballast box up on the boat and bedded in place with 3M 5200. Now the last lamination on the keel is in place and ready for fairing and cloth. Then fairing on the hull and bottom paint before we turn it over.
